What To Grill Tonight | Grillaholics

what to grill

“What should I grill tonight?”  Here at Grillaholics, it’s a question we find ourselves asking 4-5 times a week.  Variety is the spice of life, and as Grillaholics, our fridges are typically overflowing with every grillable meat imaginable.  It doesn’t matter if it’s burgers, steaks, bratwursts, chicken, pork, brisket, ribs, or whatever exotic meat you bought from your sketchy neighbor; you name it, and Grillaholics have it.  But among all of these mouthwatering options, it can be nearly impossible to decide what to grill on any given day of the week. Well fear no more, fellow Grillaholics.  With our comprehensive guide below, you’ll know exactly what to grill no matter what day it is.

Sunday

Sundays means something different to everyone but, for Grillaholics, Sundays mean one thing and one thing only: football. What’s that? You’re saying it isn’t even football season right now? So??? Go dust off your VCR (we know it’s still lying in your basement somewhere) and find your VHS tape of Superbowl XXXII and watch John Elway and the Denver Broncos take on the Green Bay Packers all over again.  And of course, what is a football game without burgers and beer? Answer: A disappointment.  Get some patties on the grill, crack open a cold one, and enjoy your Sunday in style.

Monday

Everyone hates Mondays, and the hate is well deserved.  After all, Mondays are the day of the week that brings our relaxing weekends to a crashing halt, and force us to go to work where we are separated from our grill for way longer than we’d like to be.  Every Monday ends up feeling the same so, to cure the Monday Blues, you need some variety in your life. What better way to spice things up than with stuffed burgers?  Whether you stuff them with cheese, peppers, bacon, mac & cheese, or whatever you can think of, you’re guaranteed to have something unique to brighten every Monday up.  Plus, you can use your leftover ground beef from Sunday’s burgers in order to save both time and money. Win-win.

Tuesday

Congratulations, you survived yet another Monday! Until you realize that you still have four more days to go.  We know how difficult it is to find the time to grill during the week so, on Tuesdays especially, it’s important to find something quick and easy to grill.  We recommend firing up the grill and throwing some bratwurst or hot dogs on the grates. Almost no prep time required, and less than half an hour on the grill means you’ve got a quick and delicious dinner.

Wednesday

It’s hump day.  You’ve made it halfway through the week.  Depending on the kind of person you are, you’ll likely have one of two reactions.  An optimist says to himself “Only two more days until I get to grill!” while a pessimistic says to himself, “Ugh I still have two more days before I can grill.”  A true Grillaholic, however, knows that he can grill on any day of the week.  That kind of out of the box thinking deserves an out of the box grilling challenge.  Try making a pizza on your barbecue grill to celebrate your ingenuity.

Thursday

Thursday is without a doubt one of the toughest days to get through.  The finish line for the week is in sight, but it feels like you still have miles left to run.  At this point in the week, you’ll probably end up asking yourself a lot of important questions.  Questions like “Have I really only been working for two hours?” or “Is forty-one too young to retire?” or even “What happened to the body I had in college?”  If this final question happens to creep into your head, you may want to consider a healthier grilling option on Thursdays: grilled chicken with grilled vegetables.

Friday

You have successfully made it another week without quitting your job, and that in itself is a feat deserving of celebration.  Kick off your weekend in style by treating yourself to a perfectly seared steak for dinner.  I don’t care if it’s a ribeye, T-bone, or a filet mignon.  You worked your ass off this week and deserve a dinner fit for a king!

Saturday

Saturday’s are a Grillaholic’s best friend.  It’s the only day of the week where responsibilities are completely nonexistent.  No work during the day like Fridays and no impending threat of work like Sundays. Saturday’s are truly the only day where we Grillaholics can be 100% devoted to our barbecue.  Because of this, Saturday’s are meant for grilling something that requires hours of tender love and care.  Our recommendation is to break out the smoker and spend eight hours meticulously smoking tender brisket, fall off the bone ribs, or the perfect pulled pork.

The best part of being a true Grillaholic is knowing that no matter what day of the week it is, it’s always a good time to grill.  We hope that with this comprehensive guide you will no longer have to scratch your head trying to figure out what things to grill.
