Grillaholics provides the following information in connection with the cookware disclosure requirements of California Health & Safety Code § 109012 (Assembly Bill 1200). This page identifies designated-list chemicals associated with the food-contact surfaces and handles, where applicable, of the Grillaholics cookware products listed below.

About California AB 1200

California AB 1200 established chemical disclosure requirements for certain cookware sold in California. Where an intentionally added chemical appearing on California's designated list is present in a cookware food-contact surface or handle and performs a functional or technical role, specified information must be made available to consumers.

Website disclosure requirements took effect January 1, 2023. Additional labeling requirements for covered products took effect January 1, 2024.

1. BBQ Grill Mats / Grilling & Baking Mats

Food-contact surface: PTFE-coated woven fiberglass non-stick cooking surface

Handles: Not applicable. These products are flat cooking mats and do not contain a separate handle component.

Why PTFE is present: PTFE is incorporated into the cooking surface to provide non-stick performance and other functional characteristics associated with the intended use of the product.

2. Stainless Steel Grill Tools

Food-contact surface: Stainless steel

Grillaholics specifies stainless steel as the material for applicable metal food-contact components of these products. Grillaholics does not separately specify or direct the individual elemental composition of the stainless-steel alloy. The alloy is selected and manufactured by the applicable material supplier and product manufacturer to meet the stainless-steel material requirements for the product.

Stainless steel is an alloy containing iron, chromium, and potentially other alloying constituents. To provide a broad and conservative disclosure to California consumers, Grillaholics identifies below designated-list constituents known to be present, detected, or reasonably associated with the stainless-steel components used in these products.

Inclusion of a constituent in this table does not represent that Grillaholics separately selected, specified, or directed the addition of that individual constituent, or that a trace, residual, or incidental presence necessarily constitutes an intentionally added chemical under California law.

About the stainless-steel disclosure: Independent testing of Grillaholics grill tools identifies the tested stainless-steel components as SUS 430 stainless steel. Testing also evaluated the migration of multiple metals, including chromium, iron, manganese, and nickel.

The constituents above are disclosed conservatively to provide consumers with additional information regarding the composition of the stainless-steel food-contact components. Grillaholics purchases products manufactured to specified stainless-steel material requirements rather than prescribing the individual elemental formulation of the alloy.

Non-metal components: Where a tool includes wood, silicone, plastic, or another non-metal component, the stainless-steel disclosure above applies only to the stainless-steel portions of the product unless otherwise indicated.

3. Stainless Steel Grill Basket

The Grillaholics Grill Basket is manufactured from AISI 430 stainless steel. Grillaholics specifies stainless steel as the product material but does not separately specify or direct the individual elemental composition of the stainless-steel alloy. The alloy is selected and manufactured by the applicable material supplier and product manufacturer to meet the material requirements for the product.

AISI 430 stainless steel is an iron-based stainless-steel alloy containing chromium and potentially other alloying or residual constituents. To provide a broad and conservative disclosure to California consumers, Grillaholics identifies below designated-list constituents known to be present or reasonably associated with the stainless-steel material.

Inclusion of a constituent in this table does not represent that Grillaholics separately selected, specified, or directed the addition of that individual constituent, or that a trace, residual, or incidental presence necessarily constitutes an intentionally added chemical under California law.

About the stainless-steel disclosure: Independent testing of the Grillaholics Grill Basket identified the material as AISI 430 stainless steel and measured total chromium at approximately 17.18 percent in the tested sample. Grillaholics does not, however, separately prescribe the complete elemental formulation of the stainless-steel alloy.

The constituents above are disclosed conservatively to provide consumers with additional information regarding chemicals that may be associated with the stainless-steel food-contact surface. Nothing in this disclosure is intended to characterize a trace, residual, incidental, or otherwise non-intentionally-added constituent as intentionally added where it does not meet the applicable statutory definition.

Understanding This Disclosure

Conservative disclosure approach: Grillaholics may identify a designated-list constituent when available product specifications, testing, material standards, or other information indicate that the constituent is present or may reasonably be present in a covered food-contact material. Such disclosure does not necessarily mean that Grillaholics separately selected or specified that constituent.

Intentionally added chemicals: Whether a particular constituent qualifies as an intentionally added chemical depends on the circumstances under which the material or chemical is incorporated into the product and whether it performs a functional or technical effect. The presence of a trace, residual, or incidental amount does not by itself necessarily establish that the constituent was intentionally added.

Authoritative lists: California DTSC develops its Candidate Chemicals List using authoritative chemical lists maintained by governmental and scientific organizations. The authoritative list or lists associated with each disclosed chemical are identified in the tables above.
